Knife gate valves
Knife gate valves for isolating contaminated, fibrous and abrasive media — sludge, slurries and sediment. The cutting blade passes through the medium and provides tight shut-off where wedge gate valves fail.

// APPLICATIONS
Where it works
Knife gate valves isolate contaminated water, wastewater, sludge, slurries and fibrous or semi-liquid media. They are designed for systems where conventional wedge gate valves may become blocked by the medium.
Demanding media
The blade geometry cuts through fibres and sediment layers, while the full bore in the open position reduces turbulence and pressure loss. Body material and sealing elastomer are selected for the medium, temperature and operating conditions.

Design features
Isolation of demanding media
The blade cuts through fibres and deposits, providing tight shut-off where a conventional wedge may fail.
Compact installation
The wafer design provides a short face-to-face dimension, low weight and full bore.
Actuation to suit the application
Manual, electric, pneumatic or chain actuation selected for cycle frequency and installation location.
